BSP to launch agitation to protest U P Govt move on Ayodhya case

Lucknow, June 12 (UNI)

Bahujan Samaj Party leader Ms Mayawati today asked the Uttar Pradesh government to re-consider its decision of not reissuing notification on the Ayodhya demolition case.

Condemning U P Chief Minister Raj Nath Singh for his yesterday's announcement that the government would not issue fresh notification in the Ayodhya case, she said the move was aimed at saving the skin of Bhartiya Janata Party leaders who were the ''chief conspirators'' in the December 6, 1992 demolition case.

Addressing a press conference here, the former Chief Minister said it was now clear that the BJP leaders had no faith in the judicial system of the country.

''Had they any faith in the judiciary, they would have isued a fresh notification as desired by the court to settle the matter'', she pointed out, warning of launching an agitation if the government fails to do the same.

Mr Raj Nath Singh had Yesterday said that the state government would not issue the amended notification as it was not binding on it.
