Couple seeks justice

Gurdaspur, October 21: Mr Tarsem Lal Banotra, president, Dinanagar unit of the Bahujan Samaj Party has threatened to go on a strike if a compensation was not paid to a couple whose crop was allegedly damaged by Mirthal sarpanch.

The standing crop on 29 kanals of Darshan Lal and his wife Sudarshana Devi, residents of Bharyal, was ploughed through by sarpanch's men allegedly at the behest of a minister, his relative, on October 8, 2000.
