SASARAM: An FIR has been lodged with the Kudra police station of Kaimur district against the son of Union minister of state for labour and employment, Muni Lal, who represents the Sasaram (reserved) parliamentary constituency on BJP ticket, by one Bali Ram Yadav.

In his FIR, the complainant has alleged that on May 30 he visited a petrol pump near Kudra. He said that he was given one litre less petrol than the amount he had paid for.

On objection, the manager of the petrol pump, minister's son Guddu and five other persons assaulted him with rifle butts and sticks. The complainant also alleged that the minister's son and his henchmen snatched Rs 4,400 from his pocket and tried to kidnap him with an aim to eliminating him.

However, the accused fled the scene on seeing an approaching police jeep. The petrol pump is reportedly owned by the minister.

Sources said that the minister's son Guddu has always been in controversy for his misdemeanour. In December 1999, the minister's son created an unruly scene when he misbehaved with the manager and a Dalit staff of Kaimur Hotel, being run by the Bihar State Tourism Department, at Mohania and threatened them with dire consequences when they refused to open a room which was already booked in the name of a senior officer of the Power Grid Corporation. A complaint was also lodged with the Mohania police station against the minister's son in this regard.
