HASSAN, Jan 9 (DHNS)

The Bahujan Samaj Party has decided to contest all the seats in the local bodies election in the State, according to the party`s organising secretary, state unit, Mr Sridahar Kaliveera.

The party is also open to tie-up with other like-minded parties, excluding the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress.

Atrocities against Dalits in the State has increased since the Congress came to power, and the hike in price of essential goods has made life difficult for the poor and minority sections, he alleged.

While the policies of the Congress government has driven farmers and daily wage labourers to sucide, the BJP through its policies has almost sold the country to foreign agents, he charged.

Terming both these parties as enemies of the people, he said that his party`s primary goal was to defeat the Congress. The Bahujan Samaj Party has to come power for people to see their need for facilities like street lights, housing, water, and proper roads, fulfilled, he said.
