BANGALORE, May 21

The Dalits, Backward Classes Reservation Protection Forum today took out a protest rally in the City, demanding the State Government to strictly adhere to the Supreme Court judgement regarding reservation, besides filling backlog vacancies in various government departments at the earliest.

The protesters marched from Chikkalalbagh to Chief Minister’s residence here and held a demonstration after the rally. They demanded that the State Government should take immediate steps to set right the injustice to the SC/STs and backward classes and added that steps should be taken at the earliest to clear the backlog.

The Forum also demanded the Government to incorporate suitable amendments in order to provide for reservation for SC/STs in private sector companies.
