New Delhi, August 3: Three more people were arrested on Friday in connection with the Phoolan Devi murder case taking the number of people apprehended so far to seven, police said.

Keshav Chauhan, a Samajwadi Party worker from Mirzapur who had been brought to New Delhi for questioning on Thursday, was formally arrested today, they said. Chauhan had allegedly hidden the two revolvers used in the crime in the slain MP's garage.

Police also arrested Praveen Mittal, an advocate and Amitrathi, who allegedly provided arms to prime accused Sher Singh Rana.

The three will be produced in Patiala House Court later in the day. While Rana had surrendered before the police in Dehradun, Ravinder alias Rajinder, Shekhar and Rajvir were arrested from Saharanpur and later brought to Delhi.

The dacoit-turned-MP was gunned down outside her residence in the Capital's high security zone on July 25.
