Dharna to protest against Dalit`s murder
http://www.deccanherald.com/deccanherald/dec31/stbits.htm A dharna would be staged to protest against the murder of Dalit youth G M Venkatesh of Guttikunte village and to stress on the quick arrest of the murderers, said B Narayana Swamy, District President of Republican Party India, here today. Speaking to press persons, Mr Swamy also said that the body was found in a ditch in a nearby village. He has requested the government to grant Rs 5 lakh as compensation to the victim`s family. He has alleged that the murder was political in nature and that some of the Congress party members were behind the crime. Members of the Samata Sainik Dal, Students Union, RPI will be participating in the dharna. |
