Indigineous Valmiki caste liberation national convention, a stone of foundation

Objective of the convention
Indigenous Valmiki Caste liberation national convention was organised on the occasion of 110th birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar by BAMCEF and Mulnivasi Sangh. The objective behind organising this convention on 14th April was that the scavenging castes were utilized by the arya-brahminical forces still after the 54 years of independance. The basic cause of slavery of scavenging caste was that, they don’t believe on the words of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar that “We ourselves will have to liberate, nobody else will come to our rescue.” Now after 54 years of dependancy slowly scavenging castes are realising the words of their liberator, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.

Participation of 13 States
Though Convention was organised on 14th and 15th April, preparation for the same was started two months backs. Various corner meetings and one to one contacts were made with the Valmiki Caste brotheren. There was very positive response from our brothers and sisters. These all efforts resulted in participation of 13 states in this first national convention of scavenging castes. Based on the information and feedback received, the basic purpose of organising this convention was solved before the start of the convention itself. The success of this convention was beyond expected.

Success in creating self-respect among scavenging castes
Dr. Ambedkar had run the self-respect movement throughout his entire life span and he had given the same tool to the indigineous bahujan Samaj. Scavenging castes, rather than being a part of self respect movement, joined Gandhiji’s dependent movement and make themselves degraded for the last 54 years. And that is the basic cause of their helplessness and slavery. Scavenging castes had done the job of demanding for the last 54 years. But they got nothing. Through this convention the scavenging castes realised the importance of self-respect and self dignity and were of the opinion that now instead of demanding they will be in a commanding position.

Identification of friend and enemy
Some of the north Indian states are dominated by scheduled castes. In these states they play role not only in administration but also are capable of getting elected using there own strength and power. Our enemy is well awared of this fact and hence he always try to infiltrate and divide these castes and divide the strength and energy too. Often conflicts between two castes are seen. Due to this arya-brahmanical conspiracies scavenging castes could not identify their brothers and friends and instead joined determined enemies camp. Not only they joined their camp but make themselves dependant on them. Last 54 years of experience shows that Valmiki castes were only used by these Arya-Brahmins, in their own interest and hence they are helpless and slaves of rulling castes. There conspiracies resulted in creating enemies within castes and neutralising the strength. But delegates who attended the convention came out with the view that they were not having clear indentification of friend and enemy. But this convention had helped them in identifying their real brothers and enemy.

Conventions on regular basis
To increase the awarness among scavenging castes and to make them self dependant, such conventions will be organised on regular basis. Various cader camps, programmes will be organised throughout the year. Yearly conventions will be organised in various states on regular basis. Caderisation will be done and cadres from scavenging castes will be developed and special attention will be paid towards them. After these all processes, within 5 to 6 years separate organisation will be formed which will operate under the guidance of BAMCEF. Not only this but 5 conventions will be organised for tribal belt to make them self dependant. Also conventions for minority and most Backward Classes will be organised in near future.

Convention, a foundation stone
Indigenous Valmiki (Scavengers) Caste liberation national convention sponsored by BAMCEF and Mulnivasi Sangh (ladies, students and youth wing) had done a successful start. In near future, the strength and power which we want to create, this convention will definitely play vital role and it will prove beyond doubt that this convention will become a stone of foundation.
