Presiding the first session of 17th National Convention, Mr. Waman Meshram said that BAMCEF caders must be aware that there are certain specific objectives in keeping any subject for debate and discussion in the convention. BAMCEF national conventions plays a vital role in training the caders. We are preparing the caders who in turn will prepare the society. Hence we are always in search of the difficulties which comes in preparing the society and to clarify the problems and find solutions to it is the major thinking behind keeping these subjects for discussions, so that our caders are fully prepared.

We must understand that the objectives which were put forth by our forefathers are yet to be achieved and we are not fully prepared to achieve the same. But we have to be. Whatever difficulties arises in strengthening the bahujan samaj have to be resolved. For every problem, intellect solution will have to be found out and that solution will have to be implemented in the society. Those people who are not analysing the problems, do not end with proper solution. If the intellect solution is implemented in the society then it is easy to understand by others and then they can join with the carvan. To solve any problem the first and foremost thing required is power.

Often people question that, when our objective will be achieved. For them the simple answer is the objective will not be achived until we are foolish. The objective set by our forefathers is not achieved and it has to be achieved. We will have to become liable for achieving the task set forth by our fore fathers. If the society is prepared in intellect manner, then it can give consent on one subject, one ideology, one objective, one programme and this will lead to greatest power. To achieve this, there are three some rules and regulations. Unless and until the consent is on one objective, one idea, and one programme, the power can not be build.

Most of our intellectuals have three complaints. First our people do not organise, secondly our people are not well awared and lastly our people can’t come together. Then these people should be asked one basic question, if it is so, then what is to be done? Their reply is we should organise, aware, come together for common objective. For the last 15 to 20 years they are complaining. But the basic question arises is who will do the job? Those who can organise, aware are themselves complaining that people do not organise. For the cause who are responsible are themselves complaining. This has to be rethink and we will have to concentrate on how and who will do the job.

If we correlate the above said information with the subject, “OBC do not realise that they are shudras is the root cause of their backwardness.” then we will be able to understand that the objective which we have kept before us, to achieve it, this subject is one of the major constraint. Those who are backward, Shudras and in fourth varna don’t accept that they are Shudra. Doesn’t matter if they don’t accept that they are shudras but atleast they should know that they are shudras. But do they know that they are shudra?

The first and foremost condition for the revolutionary change is the polarisations SC/ST and OBC. Without social revolution the existing deteriorated system is not going to change. And without changing the existing system how our fundamental problems are going to be resolved.

In one of the conference of Saharanpur I was telling to the people that backward class people belongs to fourth varna, i.e. shudra and SC/ST are not shudra. Suddenly one of the doctor from mali community raised the question that why you are calling us shudra? I replied that, who I am to make you shudra? it is the duty of brahmin and as an untouchable I don’t have any right to make you shudra. I am only remembering you what is written in the dharma shastras and these dharma shastras had put you in fourth varna not me. The backward class people i.e. those who are included in Mandal Commission are in the fourth varna and they are shudras. Sheduled caste and Scheduled tribe are not shudras. He further told that Rashtripita Jotirao Phule, who belong to mali community, was knowing that he was shudra and that too nearly 150 years back. But surprisingly after a period of 50 years of independence, backward class is not able to know themselves, that they are shudras, which is the primary thing. If the backward class don’t know that they are shudras then how will they stand against the system which made them shudra. We are really thankfull to the doctor who refused to accept himself as shudra and we accept the challenge that the very cause which was refused, will be made a national campaign issue and will make backward class aware that they are shudras.

The first movement of backward class against the brahminical system was run in modern Indian by Maharashtra and southern India states. Jyotirao Phule was smart enough to know himself as shudra, hence he could establish movement. The same thing was happened in south India. The anti-brahmin movement was started by backward class is a historical fact. Backward class could start such movement only because of their awareness as shudra and they achieved a lot. But in northern India different scenerio can be seen. Reservation which was implemented for the last 100 years in south India had been implemented few decades back in northern India. For non-implemention brahmins alone are not fully responsible. To some extent are backward class too.

Our delegates must be aware of the problems, the social system, the varna system, whether it is vertical or horizontal and all. The vertical varna system puts brahmin at the topmost with kshatriya, vaiysha and shudra below them.

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar also raised the question of verticality infront of Gandhiji. Gandhiji also thought that if he replies that it is not vertical, then Dr. Ambedkar is not a fool to accept it and if he says that varna system is vertical then Dr. Ambedkar will say that Gandhiji believes in inequality. Hence he replied that though I believe in varna system. I have nothing to do whether it is vertical or horizontal. By this Gandhiji saved himself.

Babasaheb Ambedkar says that scheduled caste and scheduled tribe people are outcaste and have no position in the vertical varna system. Backward class people use to say that SC/ST are shudras but those who are kept out of the varna system and who were outcaste (as per Dr. Ambedkar) how they can be the fourth varna shudra?

The basic problem which we have to face is that backward class don’t realise that they are shudras but identifies SC/ST as shudras. Also the SC/ST people who are not shudra claims themselves as shudra. It creates another problem. Another problem arises is that if OBC is not realising that they are shudras, then what do they realise. They realises themselves as Hindu instead of Shudra.

Are really fourth varna people Hindu? To understand this some examples will have to be seen. Do any brahmin marriages to a girl belonging to shudra? Neither backward people takes proposal of his daughters marriage to a brahmin boy. This proves that brahmin wants to utilise backward class, wants to make them fool and use them. Hence they called them as Hindu. If really brahmins want to call backward class people as hindu then they themselves could have taken a marriage proposal to a shudra house? If the backward class people want to remain confuse, then nobody can stop them from vanish.

In UP, Rajputs claim themselves as kshatriya and brahmins also says that rajputs are kshatriya. But brahmins never call backward class people as kshatriya. Those Rajputs who are certified by Brahmins as kshatriyas, these kshatriya people also don’t accept backward class as kshatriya. Still if the backward class people claims themselves as kshatriya, then they are totally confused and those who are confused damage themselves.

Those who are shudras don’t believe that they are shudra and the SC/ST people who are not shudra still believes that they are shudra, this will result in, the people who were made shudras will not start any movement against who made them shudra.

Shudras are prey to Brahmanism. Shudra don’t believe that they are shudra and hence brotherhood is not created. Without brotherhood organisation can not be formed and without proper organisation no battle can be fought.

He further said that there is one historical evidence before Adult franchise right was given to shudras, brahmins used to call then as shudra. When brahmins were calling them as shudra, an anti movement against brahmanism could start. When shudra got the right of adult franchise, brahmins were so scared that if the vast percent of population is called as shudra, then they will oppose us and will not vote for brahmins. If shudras stop giving votes to brahmin MP, then there is not a single constitutency in India from which even Atal Bihari can win.

After the independence of India, Brahmins thought that if the vast population of shudra got the right of adult franchise, then what will happen to the aryan supremacy?. They immediately changed the strategy and stop calling shudra as shudra. This reduced the anti-brahmin thinking of shudra. Also if brahmin stopped calling shudra as shudra, then what did they call them. They called them as Hindu instead of shudra.

If brahmin call shudras as shudra then they could not have voted for Brahmin MP. Now Brahmins had started calling shudra as hindu and also shudra started believing that they are hindu instead of shudra. This all resulted in 63% shudras making Atal Bihari Vajpayee the PM. Brahmin had change the strategies and not any objective. Arya brahmins stop calling shudra as shudra but don’t accept shudra as shudra. The business between brahmin and shudra was maintained same as given in dharma shastras. It can be seen from Atal Bihari’s government that those who voted 63%, had really got 63% share in the ministry?. All important port folios are given to brahmins only. For example on ladies reservation bill Mulayam Singh Yadav, Mayawati and Laloo Prasad Yadav were quarreling in parliament, but the communist, congress and BJP, those who are really our enemy, are all alike on the bill. When there was a matter of creamy layer, all, congress, communist, BJP are united on privatisation, Globalisation issue even on constitution review issue.

Brahmins stopped calling shudra as shudra but not believing them as shudra. If they had really wanted to be called them as shudra right in 1950. They got right in 16th Nov. 1992. SC/ST got reservation right in 1932 but for OBC it took 1992 to get reservation right. That too Mandal Commission was implemented by creamy layer criteria to restrict rights to OBC.

These people who should come forward and join the caravan of social revolution are not joining it only due to non-realisation that they are shudras..
