ANDHRA PRADESH THIRD STATE CONVENTION AT VISHAKHAPATTANAM

The third State convention of Andhra Pradesh was held at Ambedkar Bhawan, Vishakhapattnam on 11th and 12th November 2000. The convention was attended by more than 300 delegates from different part of Vijaynagaram, Vishakhapattnam, East Godavari, West Godawari, Krishna, Nalgonda, Medak, Hyderabad and Ananthpur. The chief guest for the function were Adv. Bojja Tarakam from Hyderabad, who is a well known personality of Mulnivasi bahujan Samaj. Mr.N.Gangadhar, convenor A.P. unit and Dr.L.J.Kanhekar were eminent speakers in the Inagural session.

In his inagural speech Adv.Bojja Tarakam said that the Mulnivasi bahujan samaj will have to analyse each and every step, every strategy of our enemy and accordingly we will have to act or react. For each and every strategy to be adopted it requires strength. And strength will come only through the unification of SC/ST/OBC and converted minorities. With this strength we can fight with enemy. But today the society is not prepared for this. We will have to make a bahujan samaj from these SC/ST/OBC and converted minorities. The root cause of every problem that we are facing, is the caste system. Unless and until this caste system gets eradicated no problem is going to be solved. So we must work in this direction. Our enemy is so smart that he analyse the things that are going to happen in near future and plan the strategies accordingly and creats so many hurdles in the development of Mulnivasi bahujan samaj. But inspite of our enemies strategies we will have to develop the strategies for uniting oppressed and depressed classes. This address was followed by presidential address by Mr.B.D.Borkar, senior national activist, BAMCEF.
