About the Author.

Madhukar Kashinath Dongre, joined as a lecturer in Economics, Dr Ambedkar College, Nagpur in 1965; designated as the head of the Dept. and Vice-Principal in 1967; appointed as Principal in 1992 and retired as such in the year 2000.

His first book titled as ‘ Economic Thoughts of Dr. B.R.Ambedkar’ came in 1974 which was translated into Gurumukhi and published from Jullunder in 1981. The book is prescribed for M.A. in Ambedkar Thought by Nagpur University. He was a member of Senate and was appointed on various committees appointed by Nagpur University, Nagpur, Participated in All India seminars at Gulbarga, Pune and Devi Ahilyabai Holkar University, Indore.
Edited’ Jai Bhim’ a Marathi Weekly; actively associated with Ambedkar samaj, Dr Ambedkar Proffessors’ Association and various other socio-cultural and educational orgonisations.
To his credit he has a good number of articles published in periodicals both in English and Marathi especially on Ambedkar Thought and Buddhism.
