Medialink fellowships to Australia

 

Last Date:  November 16, 2001

 

Medialink is again offering fellowships of up to $A12,000 for Asian media personnel to work in Australian news organisations for 3 to 12 months. The closing date for the next round is 16 November 2001.

 

This program is open to all categories of:

* News media: newspapers, magazines, radio, television and online news.

* Media personnel: editors, reporters, photographers, cartoonists,

technicians, camera crews, producers, advertising personnel.

Previous fellowship recipients from Asia include:

* Hendrarto Darudoyo, Indonesian journalist / editor of Warta Ekonomi,

* Indian Express reporter, Rajesh Kumar,

* From Indonesia, Febrina Siahaan, Tempo reporter, and

* From China, Xinhua News Agency reporter Wen Chihua.

 

Medialink has the support of the International Federation of Journalists, the Asian News Network and the Confederation of ASEAN Journalists, and in Australia the Media Alliance, the Journalism Educators Association and several specialist peak bodies.

 

We welcome multiple applications from each news organisation.
