DALITS AND
DISASTERS
Disasters is a Way of Life for
the Dalits, Right from the Day the Scrouge of Aryan Locusts descended on
Dalitindia, to destroy and rampage the higly developed City Centers and
Agricultural Fields of the Indus Valley, Gangetic Plains, Central India and
Eastern Incursions. Here, the migrant
nomadic Aryans, after endless battles, killings, destructions and razing the
Cities, perfected the Art of Subversions to gain control over the Indegenous
People of Dalitindia, than go in for open lingering series of fights, trying to
win decisive battles that never were final!
Beyond the Vindhyas, into the Deccan Plains, the Aryan Penetration was
more by the subterfuge they had perfected in Indus and Gangetic Plains to
settle down with the Indegenous Dalits!
Dalits through the history have
learned to live with Disasters! Every
day is a Struggle for them! A Struggle
for Survival! Yes for Food, Shelter,
Clothing, Water, Health and Survival they have to struggle, irrespective of the
fact that there is Disaster or not!
Their sufferings are man made, Aryan influenced, and is a Daily Routine
of Life! These are the normal realities
of the Indian Society which nobody bothers about! These whether there is rain water floods cold sun drought and
heat! No matter, whether the weather
has been a bumper crop or there is a shortage!
They are in any case hardly going to get one meal a day! Nearly 50% of India, almost all of them
SC&ST Dalits and other indegenous backward cllasses of People don't even
get this one meal today. That is real
India. That is Dalitindia. They have to fend for themselves with some
grass or greens, jungle roots or leaves, birds or games, and wild fruits or
fish to survive, or die! It is
immaterial whether the Govt Godowns are bursting at the seems, or the private
stockyards or overflowing with grains and wealth!
It is only Natural Calamities
hit, sparing none, including the dominant caste hindus, and they die in some
numbers due to damages to their sprawling big dwellings, or collapse of their
huge palatial houses, that the Govts in this Country wake up to act!
To talk of Policy and Planning
when the House is Burning, hours together, when it is time to act and do
something is dominant caste hindus shameless way of life! The beggerly academics wake up only on
hearing somebody else talk, big postings are possible, large funds are
available to be shared eaten and distributed amongst themselves! They can deliver nothing ever to the People
and the Nation. They know nothing, as
they learn nothing from the People and the Society or the Countryside, and are
fools living in their own paradise!
In Natural Calamities, it is as
usual the Dalits who suffer the most and in large numbers. But since they live in simple light easily
degradable houses, they suffer less physical harm in house collapses. The dominant caste hindus go down in a
rubble to their mother earth, when their huge solid houses come crumbling
down! Finally they have to be
consigned to the hungry flames of their father fire! This shakes them out, and there is a huge cry for help, and
spending huge sums of money. Of course
much of this money, food clothing tentage and other relief materials go to
unitended private hands, or to other markets or are sold to the disaster
sticken victims! Hardly therefore,
nothing reaches the SC&ST Dalit Victims of Natural Disasters that are classified
as National Disasters only because the dominat caste hindu aryans are affected!
This is INDIA
While hundreds of Volunteers from abroad have rushed to
Gujarat to help the Quake Hit - to Search Rescue and provide Relief and Medical
Aid, millions of caste hindus in Allahabad, are trying to wash off their sins
of having harmed others all along their lives!
Fools and extremely selfish they are, unmindful of the chilly winds and
freezing water, with a dip in the flowing dirty polluted waters of the River
Ganges and Jamuna at Sangam, to book their places in their heavens. This, inspite of all the evils and
injustices, they had done so far and will do in future also, against their
fellow human beings!
These Govts, all these shameless heads and ministers, are very careful in asking the whole World to donate money and material! They ask the People of this Country, especially the poor to part with whatever little they can spare, for them and their officials, to render help to the Quake Victims! At least, be sure half of it, will go into their pockets, bank accounts, or to meet their own interests! Much of the Relief Material will be sold to the poor Quake Victims themselves, or find their way into other markets. Poor Backwards and SC&ST Dalits will be left to their own end, with out any Relief and Help! Of course then some one will with out any shame and heart or a stone-heart say that destiny has placed them and fate has left them in such an unfortunate helpless and miserable situations! Hence, they are carefully asking for only money and material! They are not asking the People of this Country to come forward as Volunteers for Relief Works in Gujarat! This is where they are careful! They don't want to call for volunteers or ask the People to come up to help! For, that would open a big danger! For, actual Workers are only the poor Dalits! And it is them they don't want to bring in. It is those poor they don't want to involve in the Relief Work! It is those Workers they don't want to invite even by mistake! And it is those Dalits whom they don't want to Recognise even in this hour of darkness and big tragedy! Lest their good heart, hard work, capacity to work honestly and sincerely even in difficult circumstances may be recognised World over! They would prefer to mess up the situation - than allow the People of this Nation, dalitindia to come in and work in this time of need, and save the affected people! They would rather allow many of the victims to die, the place to decay and rot than involve the Dalits openly! Hence the No Call for Volunteers! We had seen this in Orissa also! Earlier also it was elsewhere so! There in Bhuvaneshwar none of the officials and their workers were willing to do their duties. None were willing to remove the dead, decomposed bodies and rotting carcasses. Those dirty essential works were left to the Essential Service Employees - from the Army and the Sweepers forcibly taken there into Orissa from various Municipal Corporations including from the distant National Capital of Delhi of dalitindia.
