US ONE!
Let
anyone show a dalit who has been spared!
Let
someone show us one Dalit who has not been hurt!
Let
them show to the World a Dalit who has been allowed to live Peacefully!
The
World moves! It is constantly on the
move! The World rotates around the Sun,
and moves far into Space, as the Sun moves into the wide expanse of
Universe! Life goes on, on and on
endlessly!
Yes,
Life goes on! Whether I am here and you
are there, it does not matter! Life
goes on! Whether we are here or there,
and others are around us or not, Life goes on!
And it has to go on! And the
World keeps moving not only in Space, but on the Earth also! Seasons come and go, and whole Earth keeps
Changing its face and body! So is Life
on Earth! The Life is a Struggle! An endless Struggle! A series of Struggle! But it is net a constant Struggle! It is with large variations, ups and downs,
awards and rewrads, lots of surprises gifts happyness, and of course shocks
losses and tragedies! That is the
Change in Life! It comes with Time and
Seasons! And Change is Part of
Life! With out Change, there is no
Life! Change is the Secret of
Life! It is the Essence of Life! It is the Charm of Life! It is also the Strength of Life! And Change is the Prime Mover of Life! That is what makes things to Move, and Move
Forward! Change is therefore the harbinger
of Development and Progress! But why
then there is no Change for a Dalit?
And why not the Life of a Dalit Change?
Why is not the Life of a Dalit, not allowed to Change? Why is not a Dalit allowed to Move with the
Wheels of Time? The Life of a Dalit is
always there, fixed as it was millenniums ago!
With no Change and no Respite from Problems and Struggles, the Dalit
keeps struggling endlessly and without respite, as his father, grand father,
great grandfather, great great great .... fore-fathers have been struggling
millenniums ago!
With
no Change and no Respite, a Dalit born as a Dalit, is always a Dalit, till his
Death and even after his Death! Yes, a
Dalit is a Dalit, always and forever!
Whatever be he is, whatever be his education, whatever be his
contributions, whatever be his creations, whatever be his achievements,
whatever be his discoveries, whatever be his capablities, whatever be his
capacities, whatever be his potentials, whatever be his qualities, whatever be
his intelligence, and whatever he may be he is a Dalit forever, and once and
for all! Nothing matters! What matters is, that he is a Dalit! Born as Dalit! He is therefore a Dalit forever!
He is sealed! And he can not
come out of the seal, whatever he may do!
Whatever may be his struggles!
However long he may struggle!
Remember
Baba Saheb Dr BR Ambedkar! That Great
Man! That big personality! That towering Statesman! That great Intellectual! That great Law Giver! That Great Constitution Maker! People, fifty years later are still
fiddling, to find a gap, to find a loop hole, to change and make changes! To revise and make a new constitution! Fools and Idiots, in hundreds and thousands
may gather in vain, like the rats that wanted to bell the cat! They will only scatter soon in a jiff! They have been trying talking and dreaming
about changing the constitution and bringinga new one, for the last fifty
years. They will try another fifty or
five hundred years! Try, as they may
do, they will end up at last with only Baba Saheb's Constitution, like an old
wine in a new bottle! Worst still they
may end up with the same old wine in the same old bottle, but with a new label;
or just a new name overwritten on the same old label on the same old bottle
with the same old wine! However harsher
or louder or longer the golden bangaru dogs may bark, or whatever such tails
may wag and say, they can not erase Baba Saheb's Constitution, all that he had
said, and all that he had provided there-in!
He will live and his thoughts will live! And his Constitution will live, his Constitution will last, his
Constitutional thirst will assert, and his Constitutional Dream will come true,
and his Constitutional India will be realised!
Yes one day, We Dalits will Realise that! We will Redeem the India of his Dreams! We will surely Deliver the India he wanted to build! That will be sooner than later the
oppressive dominant caste hindus think!
Yes, will come true, all that Baba Saheb had desired, wanted, asked and
fought for in his lifetime and even thereafter! Will come true, all that Baba Saheb built there in the
Constitution, and said in the Constituent Assembly! But then, the issue is, if this is the way the Great Baba Saheb
is being treated in this Country even today, nearly fifty years after his
death, what are We Dalits, small fries before him and before these himalayan
gulpers! That is the issue we are on
now!
Why
should always the Life of a Dalit be a Struggle? Are the Dalits born only to struggle? Are they to always struggle for survival? Are they to be ever struggling for a
living? Are they to struggle even for
the food they are working and producing for the whole Country? Are they to struggle for water even while
living near the water? Are they to
struggle for the water which they alone had preserved for millenniums of years,
by careful use and harvesting? Are they
to struggle for clothing, and to have a piece of the cloths they produce? Are they to struggle today for a shelter
even as they build shelters for the Nation?
Are they to struggle and dream of a house in a Nation of their own, now
sadly in the hands of the encroaching nomads?
Are they to struggle like these endlessly on and on, for everything and
everything? Even animals, birds, fish
and even refugees do not have to struggle like this - that too constantly and
endlessly with no respite!
Let anyone show a dalit who has been
spared!
Let someone show us one Dalit who has
not been hurt!
Let them show to the World a Dalit who
has been allowed to live Peacefully!
We
ask this, from the Heads of all Govts in this Country, the PMs, CMs, Cabinet
Secretary, Home Secretary, Secretaries of every Ministries and Departments at
the Center and in the States, CMDs MDs and EDs, as well as the CEOs of every
Public Sector Undertaking and Bank, and the Vice Chancellors, Directors, Deans
and Principals of every Educational Institution either under the direct control
of the Center or the States or UTs, or those who claim to be Autonomous Bodies,
but Function with Public Funds and within the framework of the
Constitution! Can they show one, at
least one Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe Dalit, whom they had spared,
allowed to live in Peace, and grow to ones full potential? We will be happy to know about such a Rare
Magnanimus Personality!
