Conference on Racism In this context what we should do… Send emails to Officials and
Websites regarding the Durban Conference against Racism. Stage demonstrations before
offices, embassies, high commissions etc. Send letters to the Editors,
different Newspapers Brief report on Parliamentarians'
meetings, NGOs, Youth Groups etc. Encouragement for meeting by
Dalits (or like minded) in India and abroad wherever Dalits live Brief on SC/ST Discriminations,
Atrocities, Oppressions and Sufferings with data and bibliographies Plan of
action Demand to hold International
Conference on Caste Discrimination And What we are doing… Criticizing and blaming the
Govt. (very busy in criticizing so that we don't get time do any thing
concrete for the Dalit agenda like durban Conference) Everybody (Dalit) wants to go to
Durban without proper preparations Looking for sponsors, for the
Trip (to Durban), free tickets, free accommodation, concessional boarding
etc. Co-opting Caste hindus for
favours, support, financiers, linkages, connections. PROs publicity etc. Criticizing and avoiding other Dalits No clarity in thoughts, action
programmes, post-Durban agenda and follow up messages |
